Amen means “so be it”.

  • The word Church comes from the Greek word “ecclesia” or “ekklesia”, which means a called out assembly or a calling from out of; a summon for a definite purpose of representation.
  • Church is known as the assembly of the people gathering together in “right standing with God in honor to honor the Spirit of God in Spirit and in Truth; in His Holiness.
  • The Church is the Spiritual body of the Christ.
  • The Church is the visible representation of the citizens of the Kingdom of God in the earth.
  • The children of Israel were known as the Church Acts 7:37-38 37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. 38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
  • The body of “unified” believers in Christ is known as the Church. Ephesians 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church; 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 32 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Unified means to become united, uniform, or whole.

  • Uniform means remaining the SAME in all cases and at all times; unchanging in form or character.
  • The Church of unified believers is defined as an assembly locally, individually, and universal:

1 Corinthians 1:2; 2 Corinthians 1:1; Galatians 1; 2 the Church defined as a local assembly or group of unified believers

1 Corinthians 15:9 the Church defined as individual living believers

Acts 8:1-4

  • Black people have to be persecuted to scatter the seed of the Church.

St Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Ephesians 5:23-27 as a universal group of all people representing the sanctification of the Church through the example of a marriage between a husband and wife.

The Church is not a physical building!

The building is the physical place of meeting and operations for the body of unified believers.

  • The Church is not a business organization!
  • The Church is live organism that produces and reproduces the Body of the Christ here in the earth.
  • The Church is not a temple! You are the spiritual temple of the Holy Ghost. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are brought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
  • We as believers have a “corner stone” built in us as new creatures name Jesus Christ. The foundation is of the Prophets and Apostles. St Matthew 16:16 Peter’s confession, “thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
  • 1 Corinthians 3:9-17; 6:19; 2 Corinthians 6:6; Ephesians 2:19-22
  • The Church is the Bride of the Christ! 2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. Ephesians 5:25-32 the instructions for the sanctification of the Church through the natural marriage.
  • The Church is spiritual and has a spiritual purpose in the earth! It is God’s agency that represents the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth realm as influenced by the Spirit of God.
  • The body of unified believers assembled together has different roles or functions that God has given to specific believers for the purpose of perfecting and training souls. Ephesians 4:11-14
  • The Church serves to resolve conflicts according to the influence of the Kingdom of God, St Matthew 18:15-20 and serves as a court of righteousness, 1 Corinthians 6:1-8
  • As a tradition ritual, if you prefer calling it that of the taking of the Lord’s Supper better known as communion and baptism are observed by the Church, Acts 2:37-40; 1 Corinthians 11:17-34

Amen
