Selfish Believers

Selfish Believers! Are you one?

Jesus Christ never displayed or portrayed a spirit of selfishness. Selfishness is a demonic, unclean spirit that is of the flesh incorporated by a demon, not the devil but his emps a demon.

Jesus would always say that He does nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do that He does.

When we say that the Lord is using us and given us the authority to use, then we turn and capitalize off of what the Spirit of the Lord is doing.

Jesus’ works bear witness that the Father had sent Him and the Spirit of the Father Bear witness that He is with Jesus.

The Word abiding in you will testify that Christ Jesus is abiding in you. The scriptures will testify in you that Jesus is Lord. Only the Holy Ghost in you can and will testify that Jesus is Lord and has taken His abode in you. He will possess you!

Who is governing you and in what authority? What authority governs you for being selfish in the things of God? How can you say God is using you and you’re selfish?

Selfishness is clearly of the flesh!

Selfish is caring chiefly for self or for one’s own interests or comfort; influenced by personal motives to the disregard of the welfare or wishes of others;  So with selfishness working in you as a believer you don’t have no one else in mind, but you!  Selfishness gives you a self-love for self.

Self-love is a due care of one’s own happiness and well-being.

The Bible declares that Heaven rejoices with a soul winner’s joy, in a heavenly joy over one sinner that repents.

St Luke15:7, 10 7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more that over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.  10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Heavens rejoices! Selfishness won’t allow you to rejoice over anyone. Why don’t we?

Selfish believers are only concerned about their circle and its gains within. Winning souls is not a part of their circle.

  • If your flesh is dead the devil doesn’t have a place to reside in you.
  • Unclean spirits are demons not the devil that live in the flesh and have to have flesh to be legal in the earth realm.
  • The flesh needs sin to live! And selfishness is one of them!
  • When the flesh is dead the enemy can no longer be heard. His voice is like a distant echo.
  • The flesh can no longer have dominion over you where the Word of God abides and reigns.
  • Demons need flesh to be on board in you and active, without the Word reigning.
  • Physically dead flesh won’t house demons! When a person dies and they are full of demonic spirits those spirits don’t die, they roam the earth looking for another body to take their abode in. They roam until they find them!

St Matthew 12:43-45

  • 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
  • 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Garnished with the Spirit of God- the Holy Ghost, who has become the watchman against temptations. In order for these unclean spirits to get back in there must be an unclean spirit still on board or the seven believe they can over power the vessel and enter back in.
  • 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

When we accept salvation we accept Jesus Christ, His Mind, Spirit, and Soul according to the Will of God.

  • When Jesus taught, He taught with authority.
  • When we teach, preach, minister, pray, praise, fellowship, and worship; we need to do it with Christ Jesus’ authority. It’s not your authority, but the authority of God through His Son Jesus to you, as you continue to “yield and surrender” all to the Lord God’s authority.
  • Our authority comes “in the Name of Jesus”. St Luke 10:17 says even the demons is subject to us in Your Name.
  • Tradition and religion with denominations don’t carry the authority of God through His Son Jesus.
  • St Mark 1:22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
  • When we don’t teach, preach, praise, minister, etc. as others, we then claim that is not God!
  • Teaching with authority will astonish the flesh, its works, the world, and the devil.

The devil only becomes a separate enmity from you when sin can no longer abide and be governed in you.

  • The authority “in the Name of Jesus” is our authority!
  • It is not to be used selfishly or for personal gain, access to gain, or to bind up everyone else.
  • Christ’s authority gives you the authority to ask a demon who he is, St Mark 5:9. You then have dominion with Christ Jesus’ abiding in you to cast him out.
  • Dominion is only in the earth through you when you’ve met the requirements of being a “new creature” in Christ, and with that you are possessed by the Holy Ghost; other than that you lack dominion.
  • Dominion includes the reconciled return of the image and likeness of the Spirit of God in you to possess you through His Spirit.
  • If there is no possession of the Spirit of God in the “whole man” then you are still living in the flesh and the spirit of bondage again to fear is still upon you.
  • Fear incorporated with your salvation is bondage!

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

This does not include mankind having dominion over one another! Why? To possess the man is to try and possess the Spirit of man which is of God. Trying to possess God is not the Will of God!

  • Dominion is only given back through the attainment of God’s image, His likeness, and His Holy Spirit reconciling, renewing, and possessing you.
  • Attain means to achieve, accomplish, or gain, as a desired purpose or state. In other words, a believer must be in the “state of” attaining the image, the likeness, and the Spirit of God that will govern and reign in the “whole man”, not just part of him.
  • To attain your salvation as Jesus Christ portrayed and left as our inheritance means we must put forth in effort to do the Will of God; practice until living in right standing with God that will become a habit that will govern you and your deeds; striving to succeed at reaching the plan and purpose of God in you; and know that salvation is that which is attainable.
  • Just because you are born again through your confession, but do not portray or display any inward “cause and effects” of your confession made, will not give you back the dominion lost.
  • Salvation is a process created by God for all mankind that must take place in you! Salvation is not an outward expression of an inward process called regeneration!
  • Selfishness governing your salvation makes you to have “a form of godliness” that causes you to deny the actual power of God that will change you.
  • Jesus said it like this in St Mark 9:19 “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer with you? He spoke this when the disciples could not cast out that demon called a dumb spirit that had possessed this man’s son.
  • The power that a believer, not a selfish one should possess should come from and through the Holy Ghost.
  • Don’t think that you have power in your flesh and its Will to command the Word of God to act and react to your Will’s purpose.
  • The power of the Word of God does not respond when you are bound by the spirit of fear.
  • Fear is fear! Fear has to be cast out.
  • Faith is faith! Faith has to grow in you spiritually through the strength of the Word of God, its experiences in you, its battles, challenges in you and over you. Fear is bondage! Faith is liberty!

What is the difference between the devil and a demon?

The devil

  • The devil is an accuser, a slanderer and is one of the names characterized in nature of who Satan is.
  • There is only one devil, but many demons!
  • The devil is the malignant enemy of God and man!
  • The devil is the accuser of man to God
  • The devil afflicts man with physical sufferings through the flesh
  • The devil instigates sin to man
  • The devil tempts man to sin
  • Death was brought into the world by sin
  • The devil once had the power of death, but Christ Jesus through His own death triumphed over him bringing him to nothing.
  • The devil raised himself in pride against God and fell under the condemnation of it.
  • The devil is doomed and destined to be put in the lake of fire.

The demon

  • Demons are unclean spirits
  • Demons are agents acting in all idolatry.
  • Every idol has a demon associated with it and it induces idolatry, with its worship and sacrifices
  • Demons seek to seduce believers and they disseminate errors among man.
  • As seducing spirits they deceive man into the supposition that through mediums (those who have “familiar spirits”) that converse with the dead.
  • Demons tremble before God and the God in you.
  • Demons recognize Christ Jesus as Lord and His authority to cast them out.
  • Christ cast them out by His own power. His disciples did so in His Name and exercising faith; and so should we in His Name as we exercise faith in doing so.
  • Demons act under the influence of Satan.
  • Demons are permitted to afflict with bodily diseases
  • Demons tempt man with unclean thoughts
  • Demons differ in degrees of wickedness, i.e. a murderer, a homosexual, a liar, a thief, etc.
  • Demons possess when they take abode in you.

Selfishness is not a part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Selfishness is not a “fruit of the Spirit”.

Selfishness gives a believer a “false pity”! They can talk about Jesus and His faith, but portray no action in their life that would demonstrate a real change of what they are testifying.

Selfishness in a believer carries lip service, self-righteousness, dishonesty, show boating, pretense, being sanctimonious, etc.

Selfish believers are used by the demons that have possessed them!
