My Soul’s example is Jesus, the Spirit of the Word, and the Holy Ghost

Let us take a different view at Christ Jesus now and His purpose for mankind.

  • Let us put ourselves in His shoes for the preparation of the souls of men that are in our loins.
  • Let us come to the knowledge and understanding of Jesus’ purpose according to the plan of God in us.
  • As we begin to know and understand the wisdom of God through His Son let us see how our soul’s redemption is transforming since Salvation began because of what Jesus has done for all.

Romans 8:1-8

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

  • “Now” means at the present time or moment.
  • “No” means not any
  • “Condemnation” is to pronounce to be guilty; to sentence to punishment; or to pass judgment against.
  • “In” is located or situated within; inner; internal
  • Those that walk after the Spirit is not just saying because you are saved, but they that are “in” Christ.
  • You have gone beyond just being a traditional Christian and a religious participant of man’s way of assembling together; but now you are living as a Soul converted, being transformed, living above your earthly circumstances to become a Son of God, living above self and its habits and practices.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

  • The law of the Spirit of life has come in Christ Jesus to your hearing to make you free from the law of sin and death that is in the knowledge of good and evil.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
  • Christ Jesus came as a quickening Spirit to give life to the soul of man.
  • Quickening means to give life or energy to something or someone.
  • As soul winners we must be able to “give life” just as Jesus did to another.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

  • The Law was powerless to save from within for the soul and spirit of man.
  • The flesh knows the Law and its insufficiencies toward the outward man.
  • The flesh practices the law!
  • Galatians 3:12-14 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
  • The law did not have faith or used faith, but consist of written laws, rituals, and ceremonial processes.
  • Tradition and religion with the law does not have faith either.
  • It exercises the use of the 5-senses in the knowledge of good and evil.

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

  • All that Jesus did was set the example for us to be able to exemplify the law of the Spirit of life through Him in earth.
  • “After” means in the time following; behind
  • Walking after the Spirit of God does not make you not do all of what God has purposed for you to do.
  • Walking in the Spirit gives “all power to the Word of God” in you.
  • Walking after the Spirit of God only puts you in the perfect Will of God and His purpose.
  • Trying to walk before the Spirit in your knowledge of good and evil is like a Cain offering being offered up to God.
  • The Spirit of God has “no respect” for your offerings and sacrifices that are done in self-affliction, given in evil, done in evil, and in that He has cursed.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

  • There is no way you can walk after the Spirit of God, fulfill the lust of your flesh and be led by the voice and instructions of the Spirit of God.
  • You can’t serve two masters!

6 For to be carnal minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

  • This verse of scripture is where God and the devil agree.
  • To be carnal is to be sensual, fleshly, relating to or giving to crude bodily pleasures and appetites; being in a natural state; unregenerate; opposed to spiritual.
  • Carnal minded is to allow the fleshly desires to war against the spiritual desires.

7 Because the carnal mind is enemity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

  • So when you try and walk out this spiritual process in the knowledge of good and evil, that is your good you are carnal minded.
  • God does not speak or instruct when you choose to walk after the Spirit in carnality.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

  • To justify your reasoning for doing what you do in your knowledge of good and evil is sin.
  • The devil counts on you to justify and not repent; to justify and have an excuse; justify your disobedience from the position of your flesh.

  • Jesus came and condemned sin in your flesh, in all flesh as a quickening, life giving Spirit to and for the soul and spirit of man.
  • Jesus came under the Law and made Himself “subject” to the Law by coming in the likeness of sinful flesh to condemn sin in the flesh.
  • So we are without excuses!
  • Jesus was born just as we were BUT without the sex and fertilization process that takes place between a male and female, BUT by the power of the Holy Ghost impregnating a virgin to conceive the Spirit of God in her womb.
  • St Luke 2:52 says And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.
  • Jesus Christ is the perfect example for the new creature in you.
  • You must grow spiritually in the things and ways of God just as Jesus did, but there must be a spiritual attraction from God that will draw you into being a Son just as Jesus is.
  • St John 6:44-45 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
  • Spiritual growth is a command according to the scriptures (the Word of God).
  • The spirit of the Word must penetrate your soul and spirit in order to grow or else the Word will be in your intellect and if in your intellect it will be impossible to act out, perform, or manifest the Spirit of the Word of God for its intended purposes in earth through you.
  • It is the Spirit of the Word that processes changes in you as a new creature, not tradition and religion; not the way you feel; hanging around the House of Prayer and the people of God, and definitely not from the way you are.
  • Jesus came to mankind in the Spirit of love, unity, humility, with the exhortation of the Father’s tender mercies and compassion within Him.
  • This is the way every believer, born again as a new creature should be!

Philippians 2:3-8

3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

  • Esteem means to respect and admire.
  • Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
  • Love is a debt we owe to one another; Love is a command; Love is not a feeling; Love is a forced decision generated by the Will.
  • Love is unconditional!
  • Not esteem others because you covet what they have or want to be a part of what they have.
  • Not to esteem others because you are trying to hide behind them or because you don’t wont’ to grow in Christ.
  • Not to esteem others because you are fearful of them or because you need someone to control you.

4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

  • Stop looking on your own things (stuff) and be ready to sacrifice what you have for others.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

  • This is the mind of Christ Jesus!
  • This mind comes with spiritual humility; Christ’s examples; oneness with the Father

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

  • Form means the visible shape or configuration of something.
  • Christ Jesus came in the visible image of God
  • We must get the mind of Christ to reclaim the image of God and not think of ourselves as being equal with God.

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

  • Becoming a servant like Christ Jesus to the Father, emptying you in order to make no reputation of self.
  • Don’t allow the people to cause you to be filled with pride over what the Will of God has purposed in you.
  • Serve until we have served out!

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

  • The Christ, which is God Himself incarnated into being as His creation found Himself to be in the fashion of a man (His creation), humbled Himself to death for all mankind.
  • St John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
  • Christ Jesus’ love for us became our sacrifice!
  • Christ is the Spirit of God Himself; Jesus is the humanity side of the Spirit of God in a body.
  • So God didn’t die, but the body of Jesus did!
  • It is the Spirit governing you, soul, spirit, mind, and body that reveals who Jesus is.
  • As Soul let us see now if we can not only just relate to why God sent Jesus and to the work of Jesus, but let us do the comparison of our soul becoming a Son as Jesus, being converted and transformed back to the total righteousness of God in Spirit and in Truth.
